Visiting Hours

Mitchell County Regional Health Center supports and encourages patients to have visitors:

General Visiting Hours

General visiting hours are unrestricted.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult while visiting.

Visitors should be free of infection or communicable diseases or illnesses and should not have been exposed to communicable disease in the past three weeks.

Pediatrics

Parents and grandparents of pediatric patients may visit any time of day. A parent or significant other may spend the night with children.

Obstetrics

Obstetrics patients may have their spouse or significant other visit them 24 hours a day. Sibling, grandparents and friends visiting hours will be according to the wishes of the mother.

Critical Care Units

Visiting hours will be arranged with the nurse caring for the patient for each shift.
Visitors are asked to check with the nurse caring for the patient they wish to visit.
A maximum of two visitors is allowed in the Critical Care Unit.
Children under the age of 12 years require special permission to visit critically ill patients.

Swing Bed Patients

Patients/residents can communicate, associate and meet publicly and privately with any persons of his or her choice.

MCRHC may apply reasonable restrictions upon non-family members to facilitate care giving and to protect the rights of other residents/patients.

Hospice

Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day based on patient and/or family need and preference. Our family room, across the hall from our Comfort Suite, can accomodate several family members and has a sleeper sofa should you wish to stay overnight to be near your loved one.
