MCRHC Recognized for Quality of Food

The National Research Corporation has named Mitchell County Regional Health Center as a Top Performer for outstanding survey scores on the overall quality of food served in the hospital. The hospital has consistently scored in the top percentile compared to other similarly sized hospitals across the country. As a Top Performer, MCRHC will be a source of advice for other hospitals seeking to improve their food quality.

Sue Cowell, Manager of the Food and Nutrition Department at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, attributes their excellent survey scores to the dedication of her staff.

“Our employees are dedicated to preparing most of our food from scratch,” explained Cowell. “We buy very few pre-cooked items. It may take us a little longer but the outcome is worth it.”
